2017 USA Rice RCPP Outreach Meeting

October 17, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Together, USA Rice and Ducks Unlimited form the Rice Stewardship Partnership (RSP). The RSP, with the help of multiple partners, has obtained federal and private conservation funding targeted towards rice farmers in Mississippi, through a program called the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP).

Delta F.A.R.M., in coordination with USA Rice will be assisting farmers with signup and implementation of EQIP practices on the farm. Rice farmers that manage their rice producing fields for habitat in the winter, provide 35% of all food energy for ducks in those regions… So… What’s good for rice is good for ducks.

The Rice Stewardship Partnership is rolling out its third program to date in Mississippi, through its working relationship with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).

Beginning now, sign-ups are open for rice farmers in Mississippi to participate in a rice focused Environment Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) through NRCS.

To learn more, and to sign-up, please join us on October 17th from 11AM- 12PM for a FREE LUNCH with information about a Rice targeted conservation program at the Capps Building at 82 Stoneville Road, Stoneville, MS.

Deadline to apply is Nov 17th, 2017 – Applications will be available at this event, along with assistance filling out. Applications can also be submitted through your local NRCS offices.
